Bookings for British Airways flights have plummeted as the threat of strike action causes travellers to delay making a reservation or switch to a rival airline.

Price comparison website travelsupermarket. com said the number of inquiries about British Airways flights has fallen by a third since BA revealed its 12,000 cabin crew had voted in favour of a walkout.
Following the announcement of the ballot result last Monday, the Unite trade union has until March 15 to announce strike dates, and until March 22 for a walkout to begin.
