eBay Inc. is an American Internet company that manages eBay.com, an online auction and shopping website in which people and businesses buy and sell a broad variety of goods and services worldwide.

About half of the sales take place through a set-time auction format, but subsequent methods include a substantial segment of listings in the "Buy It Now" category and more and more regular hign street shops can be found on eBay.

In addition to its original U.S. website, eBay has established in thirty other countries. eBay Inc. also owns PayPal, StubHub, Kijiji, and other businesses.

I start to wonder if eBay is still an auction site as more and more of the products seem to be "buy now" but anyway, it is still my prefered place to find and buy stuff. But the commission you pay as a seller is outrageous - if people pay into your paypal account (owned by Ebay) than you easily pay away 20% of you entire sale.
